Vastavam Web: From Nov 2, the schools in Andhra Pradesh reopened and after a long break of 5 months. Jagan Mohan Reddy government took a decision regarding the reopening of schools by conducting classes in alternative days and half-a-day classes to alternate standards. However, after 2 days, there has been some fear surrounding the students and parents as so many COVID positive cases are being reported by teachers and students is creating panic.
According to reports, about 60 staff and students tested positive for COVID-19 around the state and most of them were sent to home isolation on the day 1 itself. Some of the serious cases are even admitted in the hospitals. At some places, the midday meal serving staff were getting infected. As a result, the tensions were rising among the officials and the parents.
The parents are even stopping their children from sending to school due to the COVID threat and it may be the time for the Government to revise their decision on this reopening of the schools or there might be a room for slight changes in the protocol.
