Vastavam Web: Disha gang-rape and murder incident that took place in Telangana has resulted in outrage across the nation. Following this, the Andhra Pradesh government led by Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has brought a new bill Disha bill that calls for strict actions against such crimes.
After getting a nod from the Andhra Pradesh State Legislative Council and State Assembly, the bill was sent to the Centre to make the bill into law. Now the center has sent back the Disha bill to Andhra Pradesh allegedly asking the state government to make necessary corrections in the Disha bill and send it back to make the bill into law.
It has been widely reported that the center raised many objections over the bill and directed the AP government to make some more changes in the bill. If these reports are to be believed, the crucial Disha bill will have to wait for some more time as the bill has to go through a lot of procedures.
