Centricus, Triller offer $20 billion to buy TikTok assets

Vastavam web: Global investment firm Centricus and social video platform Triller interested in jointly buying TikTok assets for $20 billion, media reports said on Friday. The companies are offering ByteDance, TikTok’s parent company, $10 billion in cash and $10 billion in the new venture’s profit-sharing. Earlier, Walmart and Microsoft as well as Oracle were said to be interested in buying the Chinese app after United States President Donald Trump threatened to ban TikTok in the US unless it is sold to a US company.
