Vastavam web: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Tirumala on June 9, according to BJP State president Kanna Lakshminarayana. Addressing a press conference held in Guntur city on Saturday, he said, the Prime Minister will perform special pujas to Lord Venkateswara Swamy at Tirumala.
Replying to a question, he said the BJP will play a role of Opposition party in the State and fight to solve problems of the people. He said,” If the State government requests the Centre, it will take steps to conduct inquiry into the alleged irregularities in execution of project works by the previous TDP government.”
He further said that the State government has to write a letter to the Central government, if the State wants Centre to construct the Polavaram Project. He dismissed the reports in a section of the media that the YSRCP will join the NDA. He said, if the TDP senior leaders want to shift their loyalty to the BJP, the core committee of the party will decide it and said, the BJP will concentrate on the local body elections in the State very soon.
