Vastavam web: A case was registered against the head of a prominent news channel and a telugu film actor here Thursday for allegedly cheating the company’s promoters by forging documents, police said. Denying the charges, CEO of TV9 channel, Ravi Prakash said false cases were foisted against him and he did not run away as projected by a section of media.
In a video message, he also said he was still the CEO of ABCL, which runs the bouquet of channels. According to a release by Cyberabad police, searches were carried out by a police team at the office of the CEO and the residence of telugu actor Shivaji, who is said to be in possession of some shares of Associated Broadcasting Company Limited (ABCL).
The case was booked based on the complaint by P Kaushik Rao, Director of Alanda Media and Entertainments Pvt Ltd, the release said. The complainant alleged that the CEO created fake documents and was trying to prevent the new management of the company from taking over the operations, police sources said.
