Vastavam web: During a teleconference Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu said the Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA) needs to create awareness among the people over the ongoing fast track development of Amaravati and also establish a close emotional bond between every village and Amaravati, which is pride of Telugu people. “The bonding between people and Amaravati is very strong and emotional. As we were left without a capital city, we started building people’s capital. The people foresee the future of their children in Amaravati. Our government is committed to fulfil their aspirations by building one of the top five cities of the world,” he said.
Stating that the people have lot of faith in his government, Naidu said thousands of people across the state had visited Polavaram irrigation project and expressed their happiness over the rapid progress of the project. Stressing the need to focus on economic development, he said that a city is not created just by constructing roads and buildings. The Amaravati city is envisaged to be a powerhouse for economic development and job-creation which could attract non-polluting high-value manufacturing and service industries.
