Vastavam web: The customers, who had booked JIO phones are going to reactive them within 15 days as the company had decided to deliver them to the customers from Sunday onwards. good news for those who are waiting for the newly launched JioPhone as Reliance Jio Infocomm Ltd (RJIL) will start delivering the handsets from Sunday. The delivery process of the six million JioPhones, which were pre-booked in the first lot, will be completed within 15 days, the report added. However, Jio did not respond to any of the queries sent by PTI. The report also stated that the deliveries will commence first from the rural areas and small town before the urban areas.
Pre-booking of the JioPhone started on August 24 against payment of a refundable deposit of Rs. 500. The remaining Rs. 1,000 has to be paid by the customer when the company starts delivering the handsets. The entire amount will be refunded against return of the phone after three years.
With the entry-level phone, Jio aims to sell around 5 million units every week.
