Vastavam web: AP CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Friday launched the flagship programme of Navaratnalu – distribution of house sites to poor women under ‘YSR Jagananna Illa Pattalu’ programme at Komaragiri in East Godavari district. Inaugurating the 15-day housing festival, the Chief Minister said that the state government would distribute 30.76 lakh house site documents to all eligible women setting aside their caste and party affiliations.
The Chief Minister said the groundbreaking ceremony is organised for construction of houses in 15.6 lakh house sites in the first phase. The sale agreements will be distributed to women beneficiaries for 2.63 lakh TIDCO houses. “The state government has been spending Rs 6,800 crore to develop YSR Jagananna colonies coming up in 17,005 layouts across the state. The government will take up construction of 28.3 lakh houses at a total cost of Rs 50,940 crore.
The Chief Minister said that the government would provide three options for the beneficiaries, including supply of material and labour charges for construction of houses, releasing funds in a phased manner if people come forward to construct on their own and in the third option to construct the house by the government itself.
