Indian man and his daughter drowns in ajman beach and died

Vastavam web: A Kozhikode native man and his daughter drowned at sea in Ajman. Balussery Iyyad native Ismail Chandamkandiyil (47) and daughter Amal (17), a Plus Two student, died in the accident that took place at around 6 pm on Wednesday. Ismail and family had gone to Ajman beach. As there was a cold breeze and high tide, the sea was rough. First it was Amal who slipped into the whirlpool. Ismail drowned while trying to save his daughter.

Though both were rescued by police and paramedical team and taken to Al Qassimi Hospital in Sharjah they couldn’t be saved. Ismail’s wife Nafeesa and children Amana and Alia who witnessed the accident were also admitted in the hospital. After first aid they were discharged. Ismail, was an employee at the technical department of the Dubai Roads and Transport (RTA) for the past 14 years. Kasim and late Nabeesa are his parents and Sabira, Mubarack (Dubai RTA), Kamila his siblings. Nafeesa was a teacher at the Al Saad Indian School in Ajman earlier. Now she teaches at a school in Ekarool in Kozhikode.
