Trump supporters stage protests against mail-in ballot tallies at Counting Centres

Vastavam web: Americans on both sides of the political divide have vented their anger and frustration over the undecided presidential contest in major cities across the United States. Supporters of Donald Trump descended on vote-tallying centres in Phoenix and Detroit, while 50 left-wing protesters were arrested in New York after a peaceful rally turned ugly. With challenger Joe Biden holding a narrow lead in the crucial state of Arizona, a pro-Trump group filled the parking lot at the Maricopa County election centre in Phoenix where sheriff’s deputies guarded the outside of the building and the counting taking place inside.

Paul Gosar, an Arizona Republican in the House and a Trump supporter, joined the crowd, declaring: “We’re not going to let this election be stolen. Period.” However, observers from both major political parties remained inside the election centre as ballots were processed and counted, with the process live-streamed online. A bipartisan statement signed by Clint Hickman, the GOP chair of the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors, and Democratic Supervisor Steve Gallardo, said they were carefully counting Arizona’s votes.
