Addressing media at the state part office here on Wednesday, Ramakrishna alleged the Union government had betrayed the people of Andhra Pradesh on the Special Category Status and wondered why Jagan was not strongly demanding the Union government for SCS and other promises made to the state.

Stating that former chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu also went to Delhi 29 times but there was no use, he observed that the situation would repeat. Ramakrishna wanted to know the stand of the Central government on Polavaram project, R and R package, release of funds for the development of backward districts in the state, Kadapa steel plant, petro chemical complex in Kakinada, construction of port and other assurances made in the AP Re-organisation Act.
