AP to launch village level secretariats from October 2

Vastavam web: The Andhra Pradesh government is bracing up for the launch of Village Secretariats on October 2 with the concerted efforts of various departments which will be the largest recruitment in public employment that would provide jobs to over 4 lakh people in the state. Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy during a review meeting of Village Secretariats here on Wednesday enquired about the progress of various works in progress and congratulated the officials for successfully completing the competitive exams for Village Secretaries.

The officials said that special training is being given to those who work in the Call Centres that would be used by Village Volunteers and Village Secretaries. While 1902 is the Call Center number for registering complaints and grievances, there should also be a dedicated number locally to respond for emergencies, the Chief Minister said. The results of Villages Secretaries will be ready by this month-end.
