New Act aims at resurvey of land in State: AP Minister

Vastavam web: The Deputy Chief Minister (Revenue) Pilli Subhash Chandrabose said that the state government aimed for resurvey the entire lands with new technology called Continuously Operating Reference Stations (CORS). Addressing a Press conference at secretariat here on Thursday, he said the government has estimated an expenditure of around Rs 1,600 crore for the entire project and pilot project will be initiated at Jaggayyapet.

He said that the state government introduced the revenue reforms to maintain land records in a transparent manner. He observed that the revenue system in the state has paralysed and there is an urgent need for immediate measures to protect the interests of the land owners. He stated that the government is trying to create confidence among such people in the state and brought the new Land Title Act. He said that if the governments create confidence among farmers and tenants then they will continue cultivation.
