Vastavam web: BJP state president Kanna Lakshminarayana warned of taking to streets in protest against attacks by YSRCP supporters against activists of political rivals. The BJP will organise the protest on August 16 in Palnadu region in Guntur district, he said. He said that Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy has been taking hasty decisions at the cost of public.
Cancellation of Polavaram works by Navayuga was a major blunder and this was nothing but wastage of public money, he observed. How could Jagan take unilateral decisions without taking prior permission from the Union government, which has been funding hundred per cent for the project, he questioned.
“Reviewing of the PPAs will send a wrong signal not only to the investors in the country, but also to the global giants. This was the fear expressed by the Union minister for renewable energy. But Jagan did not consider the suggestions from the Central government in this respect,” he stated.
Lakshminarayana also condemned the Chief Minister for stopping all works at Amaravati capital. He observed that by this action, all the money spent so far for construction will go waste.
