Telangana government decided to create seven new municipal corporations

Vastavam web: Telangana government has decided to create seven new municipal corporations mostly in the peripheral areas of Greater Hyderabad taking the tally to 13 from the present six corporations. According to sources, the State cabinet discussed about the new municipal corporations on Wednesday. The new municipal corporations proposed include Peerzadiguda, Boduppal, Jawaharnagar, Bandlaguda, Badangpet and Nizampet.

The government proposes to combine Meerpet and Jillelaguda municipalities and form a separate municipal corporation called Meerpet. With this the total number of municipal corporations in the State will go up to 13 from the existing six corporations.
