Bonda Uma goes to court over Vijayawada Central Segment result

Vastavam web: The VVPATs counting controversy is continuing even weeks after the May 23 election results. TDP MLA candidate Bonda Uma filed a petition in the court. He said that the counting officials didn’t consider his request for counting of VVPATs at the 11 polling stations in Vijayawada Central segment before announcing the result.

The court heard his petition and asked the Election Commission lawyer to go through the complaint. The next hearing will take place on June 18. Uma was defeated by YCP Malladi Vishnu with a margin of 25 votes.
