Government schools must attract students: AP CM

Vastavam web: With a vision to attract every student to government schools, new Chief Minister Y S Jaganmohan Reddy asked concerned officials to bring about revolutionary changes in the education system itself. In the first review meeting with the School Education department officials on Friday at the CM’s camp Office at Tadepalli, Jagan directed them to provide all the necessary amenities and infrastructure in the schools on priority basis.

The Chief Minister said that the required buildings for cooking Midday meal must be constructed as early as possible across the State at all the schools. Jagan said that this was just a preliminary meeting and asked the authorities to come up with detailed reports on all the issues related to the department, for the next meeting. Jagan also increased the honorarium from Rs 1,000 to Rs 3,000, which is being provided to the agencies supplying midday meal.
