Pakistan government put ban on Indian Movies

Vastavam web: Bollywood has been a bridge between India and Pakistan through several years. In the wake of Indian Air Force (IAF) strike on the Jaish-e-Mohammed‘s terrorist camp at Balakot in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan, the Pakistan government put a ban on Indianmovies in the country. This comes after many Indian producers said their movies would not release in Pakistan reacting to 14th February terror attack in Pulwama that claimed the lives of 40 CRPF soldiers.

All India Cine Workers Association had announced a ban on Pakistani artists from working in Indian movies earlier this month. Now, after Indian Air Force’s surgical strike on its soil, the Pakistan government has also decided to boycott Indian movies. Now no Indian movies will be allowed to screen in Pakistan.

Choudhary Fawad Hussain, the Pakistan I&B Minister said, “Cinema Exhibitors Association has boycotted Indian content, no Indian movie will be released in Pakistan. Also have instructed PEMRA (Pakistan Electronic Media Regulation Authority) to act against made in India advertisements.”
