A string of innovative campaigns conceptualized and executed by I-PAC have turned the Andhra Pradesh elections in YSRCP’s favour.
After completion of the Praja Sankalpa Yatra, where YSRCP chief Jagan Mohan Reddy walked 3,648 KM to understand the issues and aspirations of people of the state, YSRCP has launched a string of innovative campaigns over the last few weeks to ensure that the momentum stays with them. The Praja Sankalpa Yatra was followed by Ninnu Namma Babu (We Don’t Trust You Babu), Jagan Anna Pilupu (Jagan Anna is Calling You), and now Samara Shankaravam (Booth-cadre Meetings). Indian Political Action Committee (I-PAC), the campaign vehicle of YSRCP, was instrumental in conceptualizing, supporting, and executing all these campaigns.
The Ninnu Nammam Babu campaign aimed to provide a platform to the public, for registering their frustrations with Mr. Chandrababu Naidu and declare ‘no confidence’ in his government. In order to take the message to as many people as possible, all 175 YSRCP AC-Coordinators visited 20 villages each, in fully branded vehicles, and conducted village-level meetings focusing on Chandrababu Naidu’s failures. In these meetings they talked to people about their issues/ grievances and tried to understand their frustration with the current government. Upon the completion of the meeting, the AC-Coordinators with the permission of the residents of the village put up a set of hoardings near the venue of the meetings. These hoardings highlighted the village’s declaration of ‘no confidence’ in Chandrababu Naidu. In addition to this, all YSRCP offices (head office and 13 district offices) were fully branded similar hoardings. Throughout the duration of this campaign over 6,000 cars with Ninnu Nammam Babu stickers on their rear windowpane were actively roaming all across the state. Apart from the on-field campaign, I-PAC has also provided a digital platform through the Ninnu Nammam Babu website (https://www.ninnunammambabu.com/)
The Jagan Anna Pilupu campaign aims to create a network of village-level influencers, who can function as the link between Jagan Mohan Reddy and the people of Andhra Pradesh at the grass-root level. Over 60,000+ neutral village-level influencers across the state received personalized letters in the month of January, from the YSRCP Chief. These letters addressed to them directly, recognized their specific contributions to society and appreciated them for playing a part in the state’s development. Through these letters, Jagan Mohan Reddy also urged upon them to share their inputs and suggestions, which could help him in creating a blueprint for Andhra Pradesh’s future. Each letter gave the influencer an email id (email@example.com), a phone number (+919199691996) from the office of Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy, on which they could either give their suggestions or express interest in meeting him directly. In the coming weeks, Mr. Reddy will be interacting with these influencers in the meetings that will happen in their districts. Four such Jagan Anna Pilupu meetings have already taken place in Hyderabad, Tirupati, Kadapa, and Anantapur on January 31, February 06, 07, and 11 respectively.
Samara Shankaravam is a mammoth exercise to create an unparalleled booth-level strength for the YSRCP. The party has formed a network of 505,120 booth-level workers, with 1 convenor and 10 workers at each booth in Andhra Pradesh. Under the banner of Samara Shankaravam (booth-cadre meetings), Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy will meet and interact with these booth-level workers in each of the 13 districts of Andhra Pradesh. Three such booth-cadre meetings have already taken place in Tirupati, Kadapa, and Anantapur on February 06, 07, and 11 respectively. In each of these meetings Jagan Mohan Reddy interacted with over 40,000 booth-level workers. This is the first of its kind booth-cadre meeting where a party leader is interacting with party workers on such a large scale.
All these campaigns were conceptualized and executed by Indian Political Action Committee (I-PAC), and these have ensured that the momentum during this election season stays with YSRCP. According to sources at I-PAC, their blitzkrieg of campaigns has just started and they have more such innovative campaigns in the pipeline.
