Congress in Tension over Rebel Candidates in Karimnagar

Vastavam web: The 126-year-old Congress party is on the crossroad in the undivided Karimnagar district with more aspirants and threats of the possibilities of rebel candidates in upcoming Assembly elections. The party has good cadre in Karimnagar Assembly segment and the leaders from here had thrived in national politics. But, the young generation leaders from the party are very aggressive and are maintaining separate groups which are leading to headache to the party state leadership.

n order to overcome the crisis, the Congress High Command is planning to announce former MP Mr. Ponnam Prabhakar or Kotha Jaipal Reddy from this segment. In Vemulawada, the similar situation is being continued in the party as Mr. Enugu Manohar Reddy and Mr. Adi Srinivas are seeking tickets. While Mr. Reddy is claiming he has been serving the party since years, Mr. Srinivas showing his past experience in contesting in elections. Leaders of Congress from Korutla segment have already announced that they would contest as rebels in case they will not get party’s ticket and began campaigns in favour to them.
