Vastavam web: Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh said that the number of total Assembly seats couldn’t be increased from 175 to 225 in Andhra Pradesh because of constitutional hurdles involved in the process. . Rajnath addressed the 28th meeting of the Southern States Development Council held in Bangalore on Tuesday. Chief ministers from Karnataka and Pondicherry, AP finance minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu and delegates from Kerala and Telangana took part. Rajnath also promised to bring into effect more efficient mechanism to support the Southern States in times of floods and natural calamities.
