‘Saamy’ telugu rights brought for 8 Crores

Vastavam web: After ‘Aparichitudu’ in 2004, Vikram was a big name in Telugu as well. Although he never acted in a straight Telugu film, he had a huge following and craze in Tollywood market. On the back of this, films like Mani Ratnam’s ‘Villain’ and ‘Mallanna’ were hyped up. They failed so badly. And by the end of the decade, Vikram completely lost it. There was no hype now. Despite this uninspiring track record, his upcoming cop-action drama ‘Saamy’ (aka ‘Saamy 2’) has been bought by Telugu producers for a whopping Rs 8 Cr. Yes, it’s this huge!. Producers have pinned their hopes on director Hari (of the ‘Singham’ series fame) and heroine Keerthy Suresh, too.
