Prime Minister Narendra Modi wishes on Eid al-Adha

Vastavam Web: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday greeted the nation on the occasion of Eid al-Adha. Eid al-Adha, also known as Bakrid. Eid al-Adha festival is celebrated approximately 70 days after the end of the month of Ramzan, which is celebrated as Eid-ul-Fitr. Muslims all over the country celebrated the holy festival by offering their prayers at the historic Jama Masjid and other mosques. Taking to his Official Twitter handle, Narendra Modi tweeted, “Best wishes on Id-ul-Zuha. May this day deepen the spirit of compassion and brotherhood in our society.”

President Ram Nath Kovind also extended greetings to the nation on Eid al-Adha. President Kovind tweeted his greetings in English, Hindi and Urdu, asking for a unified society. Tweeting from his personal handle, he wrote, “Eid Mubarak to all fellow citizens, especially to our Muslim brothers & sisters in India and abroad. On this special day of Eid-ul-Zuha, we celebrate the sacred spirit of sacrifice. Let us resolve to work together for unity and fraternity in our shared society.”
