Sushma to raise H-1B visa issue at ‘2 plus 2’ dialogue

Vastavam web: External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj informed Rajya Sabha that she will express India’s concerns over the changing H-1B Visa norms with US during the 2+2 dialogue scheduled to happen on September 6th this year in New Delhi. ‘According to Sushma Swaraj, No major changes were made to H-1B Visa Policy so far. However, Indian Government takes note of the prevailing sentiment in the US regarding the tougher visa norms. Sushma Swaraj, however, feels US might cut down the number of H-1B Visas with stringent norms. She conveyed Indian Government has been doing its best to stop such things from happening.She informed Union Finance Minister and Commerce Minister had already expressed their concerns to US Trade and Commerce Secretary.
