REVIEW: After a gap of decade, director Jayendra who debuted with Siddharth and Nithya starrer ‘180’ has returned to wield megaphone with ‘Naa Nuvve’. His sophomore movie centers on a simple romantic whimsy: destiny. Tollywood has just seen a splurge of movies that made with the theme of destiny and serendipity and this is the latest addition.
Like in his previous movie ‘180’, director Jayendra has focused more on capturing beautiful frames, presenting simple moments than on the story. The film begins on slow note and takes plenty of time to come to the point but it gets it groove just before the interval and offers some good moments.
Nandamuri Kalyan Ram as Varun is good. He tried his best to get into the skin of the character. This movie might be a new makeover for him. Tamannah Bhatia is fine. She played the role of Meera well. Vennela Kishore, Priyadarshi Pulikonda & Bithiri Sathi evoked few laughs with their presence. Tanikella Bharani is fine. Praveen is good. Posani Krishna Murali and LB Sriram are okay. All other actors are fine.
Songs composed by Sharreth are good to hear which are very well supported by finely written lyrics. Background score is also good to ears. Cinematography by PC Sreeram is nice. This movie might not be the best of him but has some nicely lit shots. Editing is okay but the cuts could have been more crispier. Production values are good.
Final verict of the film is Naa Nuvve is a routine romantic drama which gets distracted by some wayward execution. However, the positive outcomes of the film is Kalyan Ram’s decent makeover and Tamannah’s screen presence which makes things interesting at times.
