Sudhir Mishra to direct Indian version of “Hostages” as webseries

Vastavam web: The Indian adaptation of popular Israeli crime thriller “Hostages”, to be telecast as a webseries, will be directed by Sudhir Mishra.Ronit Roy and Tisca Chopra are set to star.Applause Entertainment, the content studio from the Aditya Birla Group, has acquired the rights for the Indian remake from Armoza Formats.The show will be produced by Banijay Asia, according to a press release.”There is a clear demand for a show like this in the digital space and with a director like Sudhir Mishra, producer like Deepak Dhar and actors like Ronit, Tisca, Parvin and Dalip, this show will definitely take the premium conspiracy series bar a notch higher,” Nair added.

For Mishra, the creator of classics such as “Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi” and “Chameli”, this will be his first webseries as a director.I treat each and every film or show of mine as the first one, which helps me think of the plot in a new and fresh way. ‘Hostages’ is one such example.
