India and Israel to explore  cooperation in water resources management

Vastavam web: India and Israel will soon form a joint group of officials to explore areas of cooperation between the two countries in water resources management, Union minister Uma Bharti said here today. Bharti made the statement when Israel’s Ambassador to India Daniel Cameron called on her earlier in the day, according to an official statement. Bharti suggested that the use of treated water, Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana and mutual cooperation in the field of research-development and training of personnel could be some other areas which can be explored by the two countries. The minister also described Israel as a “pioneer” in the field of water management and said that India can learn a lot from it, the statement said.
