IBM India, Tech Mahidra may sack 15,000 employees

Vastavam web: It seems that the recession in soft ware industry is being continued and the staff has been in doldrums whether they will be inside or shown the doors. As per the industry information IBM India and Tech Mahindra are planning to sack around 15,000 staff in coming few months. IBM’s job cuts come close on the heels of similar moves at Infosys, Wipro and Cognizant, in what is a turning out to be a difficult year for the IT sector. IBM did not confirm the number of employees who will be impacted but said in an e-mail statement that, “Re-skilling and rebalancing is an ongoing process as we accelerate the benefits of cognitive and cloud technologies for clients around the world.”
