RBI Governor salary increases on a big scale

Vastavam Web: RBI Governor Urjit Patel and the Deputy Governors’ salaries have ​been increased on a big scale by the central​  government. The minimum basic pay is of rupees 90,000 which is now increased​ it to rupees 2.5 lakhs and the Deputy Governors from rupees 80,000 to rupees 2.25 lakhs. RBI informed that with the reference of Central finance department on 21st February it has made the salary adjustments but it did not clearly say what the gross salary is because of the increased basic pay. Last year for the month of November with the basic pay of rupees 90,000 RBI Governor Urjit Patel received rupees 1,12,500 as draught allowance,rupees 7,000 of other payments and in total rupees 2,09,500 of gross salary.
