Vastavam Web: Supreme court banned on the sales and registration of vehicles which didn’t follow the guidelines of B4 from April 1st. Hereafter BS3 vehicle sales and registrations are not possible.Only the vehicles which are designed under the guidelines of BS4 get permission. Supreme court rejected the plea from Bharath Automobile Industries to sale of existed BS3 vehicles in the stock.
They are 8.25 lakh vehicles. Supreme court bench justice Madan.B.Lokoor and justice Deepak Gupta said they are dangerous in the lines of polution. The companies were informed in the past by EPCA explained to supreme court. From 2004 S4 guidelines are being implemented step by step. Supreme court declared that public health is more important than business benefits.
